  From the moment I walked into Blue Hen Farm's century old farmhouse, I felt increibly welcome and comfortable with hosts/owners Leslie & Jeff. Also greeted by 3 friendly farmdogs, which I enjoyed getting to know, I felt at home right away :) Food was delicious everyday, always balanced and healthy which I really appreciated. I did the bed and bale experience, being interested in sustainable agriculture, and I must say spending a week with these farm animals really changes you. We had a baby lamb born the day after I arrived which I obviously fell in love with. It was amazing to see the little thing grow so much in only a week, and they even let me name her! Polly Jean :) Anyhow, overall great experience. Everything was clean, thankfully. Fresh sheets, clean bathroom, kitchen, etc. Leslie sterilizes daily and goes about her work with great passion and practicality. I loved spending time with her and picking her brain on all things farming, sustainability, food and entrepreneurialism. I had the pleasure of visiting in the winter, but I can't wait to come back in the summer months! Great experience, yummy food, awesome farm, good company what more could you want. Also, great stargazing and birdwatching at Blue Hen Farm. Must see!
