- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆This is a park, and is never closed. It is located at the dam in Clayton. There are a couple of picnic tables and a couple of barbecues to cook on. Swimming is mediocre, a little weedy in spots, a bit of a stoney bottom, however if you are up for a quick dip, it is fine. You can swim out into the river if you want to get some distance. Great for young children. Note that this is not a regulated swimming spot, so no guards etc. There is a boat launch right where the swimming hole is. It has been used as a swimming spot by locals for decades. Fishing off the bridge right across from the park is a favorite spot for local residents.
