  Almonte needs another grocery store. Many items sold here are half the price at other stores in Carleton Place. The produce is not worth the price at all.

  I can't afford to shop here anymore -- it's not so much the prices (which are often ridiculous), but one too many times where I've bought something in a rush, taken it home, and found it rotten in my fridge two days later -- the produce is very far from fresh. It's really rare that we find a new product here, and we have NEVER found anything at a "ooh, stock up!" price -- usually even what small sales they do have involve AWOL products. Had friend employed there; was not impressed with wages. We stop in for our PC veg lasagna, and head to FreshCo in CP and order on-line from Walmart. I thought they were trying a little harder when the Mike Deans was across the street, but that went out the window fast...
